Our Mission
Welcome to the Morgridge Endowed Chair office. Our office seeks to cultivate research toward maximizing the capacities of educators and learners.
Teacher Education Research Strands
Our research has four strands that are systemically interacting to influence teaching and learning processes and outcomes in formal and informal settings across age groups and across subject domains. The strands include:
- Developing domain knowledge and skills
- Developing positive affect in supportive contexts
- Designing advanced tools for enhanced teaching and learning
- Building a pipeline to sustain diversity and inclusion in work force
To advance these research strands, we seek to nurture innovative ideas that are produced organically by involved individuals. Also, we believe sustainable research programs can be best accomplished by implementing research in natural, real-life settings. We therefore strive toward building a collaborative community of researchers from diverse disciplines and developing partnerships between researchers and practitioners.
