College Leadership
Laurie Elish-Piper, Ph.D., is the dean of the NIU College of Education. With 20 years of experience at NIU, Elish-Piper is a Presidential Engagement Professor and Distinguished Teaching Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Northern Illinois University.
Joining Elish-Piper in the College of Educations’ dean’s office is Todd Gilson, associate dean of research, resources and innovation and David Walker, associate dean for Academic Affairs.
The three are award-winning educators with a depth of service in their respective academic fields and years of commitment to education at NIU.
